There can of course be no certainty, but what we do offer is over 400 carefully researched boxers , each with 60 or so individual factors ranging from the purely physical punching power and hand speed to the ability to dominate the ring and control a fight.
And a fight system that takes all these factors into account to produce a detailed commentary of every round and every punch.
Plus a stats storage and recall facility that records just about every fact you need to know about every fight and every fighter, with full replay facilities also!
At an early stage we built in some graphics showing ring positions but these were quickly discarded as being more a distraction than a benefit.
In their absence we made the text commentary paint a word-picture of what is going on in the ring, and that fits in nicely with our desire to make each boxer individual, with his abilities and weaknesses faithfully mirrored in the simulation.
We have also tried to make it fun to play!
There are five ways to watch a fight, from Full Commentary to Result Only.
You can control one or both boxers, or neither, using five fighting strategies, plus decide on main Target Areas. You can change these decisions at any time during or between rounds.
The program compiles and maintains a full Ranking List for each division, and keeps full records of all fights and fighters, and the histories of all titles; World, European, Commonwealth, British, and International (for non-Top Ten ranked fighters).
You can run knock-out style competitions, judges can be fair-minded or biased, bouts can be from 3 to 15 rounds.
You can decide whether to store a replay of any or all fights, and in what form, and they can be recalled at any time. You can even store individual rounds if you wish!
And using the Editing Suite you can add any boxer of your choice, real or fantasy.
