Sick As A Parrot has been created for the Windows platform and has evolved from the old DOS-based Supremo which was generally regarded as the most comprehensive and intelligent simulation of club and international soccer management for the PC. Now the Windows environment means the game can be taken that much further in its development.

And, on top of that, the producer has created Sick As A Parrot Online - an online subscription service which not only supplies the game, including edit and customisation programs, but also regular club and international data updates, and upgrades for life.

Sick As A Parrot and the old Supremo have been in development now for 18 years. It's a sophisticated and comprehensive simulation of both club and international management. The game is unashamedly for the soccer management enthusiasts who want something more realistic and demanding than the traditional numbers game.

Supremo was a DOS game which already pushed that operating system to its limits. Sick As A Parrot is now the basis for all further developments of the game. It's in continuous development and is moving further and further beyond Supremo every week.

The internet has enormous advantages when it comes to the distribution of computer software. Author's Notes

1) - It brings the league and international aspects of the game together as never before. The gamer can manage a league club, or an international squad or, if he needs a supreme challenge, both. The league and international games can be played entirely independently or together with the schedules interlocking and the league and international databases common to both. You can build up players in the league module and use them in the international module when they attain the quality of skills you require to take apart Brazil, Germany, etc in a simulated World Cup.

2) - Players' skills and characteristics are not presented as numbers as in the traditional games but use the most sophisticated Artificial Intelligence techniques to produce simulated players with many of the features common to real world players. Some are supremely confident, some cave in at the first sign of problems, some achieve fitness effortlessly, some struggle to recover from even the mildest injuries. Some continue to improve until their late 20s, some never play a better game than the one they played at 19 for your youth squad's FA Youth Challenge victory. Some demand new contracts after their first man-of-the-match award, others play faithfully season after season. And more.

3) - Topping all this is a match simulation that genuinely puts you in charge of your team's performance. Even while you're missing your best five players through injury you can go to Old Trafford and grind out a result if you prepare for the match cleverly and use the right tactics. Similarly, the team desperately struggling against relegation can frighten the daylights out of your Championship leading squad with their commitment and aggression. The performance of the team and players is in your hands as never before. The match is a true challenge to your understanding of what makes a winning team.

Sick As A Parrot is not so much a game as a simulation of the world of soccer that will demand and reward intelligent management from the gamer as no other game ever has. It comes complete with over 5000 'real' players and two Edit programs to modify these as you wish.
